ABOUT THE BOOK:
This month's YA book takes place in Scotland where a young girl's mother passes away. After several months her mother returns but only she knows there is a creature who has taken her mother's appearance for unknown nefarious means. The returned "woman of the house" feels threatened by the daughter so she puts a curse on her and her three brothers. The daughter cannot speak during daylight hours and her brothers are to be swans from sundown until sunrise. The flee to Edinburgh where she learns how to break this curse to save her brothers from permanently staying as swans. But there she encounters far greater threats than the witch back home. Can she break the curse and save all their lives?
